Barbara Bonfilio graduated in painting at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin in 2001.
Selected for the “Friday Posts” on the site the MOMA of San Francisco.
She exhibited at the 54th VENICE BIENNAL Italian Pavilion, at the MADRE MUSEUM in Naples, at the “White Box” exhibition curated by Giuseppe Biasutti. Participates in “Moulhouse 007: Talents of the European Academies”, France.
In 2018 she exhibited at the “La via del sale -10th EDITION - 10 ARTISTS - 10 PLACES” curated by Silvana Peira and Marco Enrico Giacomelli, at “Art Rooms Fair”in London and at the exhibition “Sua Cuique Persona” curated by Matteo Gardonio.
In 2017 she exhibited at the “Yia Art Fair #12” in Maastricht and at the “Yia Art Fair #15” in Paris.
In 2016 he exhibited at the “Art Fair Stuttgart” and at the “I On Fire” exhibition curated by Martina Cavallarin, Ellebi Gallery of Cosenza, invited to the artist's residence “BoCS Art” curated by Alberto Dambruosio and at the “49 'Premio Suzzara”, Mantova.
In 2015 he exhibited at “Anime diverse”, Ellebi Gallery, and was invited to “Arte Expo Italiana” among “The 200 Masters of Italian Art”, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, Varedo.
In 2014 he exhibited at “Tissue C9” by F. Baboni, the at the exhibition “Aliens” in the home of L. Ariosto, and the personal “Apertis Verbis” at the Numen Art gallery of Benevento.
In 2013 a finalist with a work published in the catalog at the prestigious London Creative Awards, and exhibited at the Hado - Ordo Amoris at the Galleria De Chirico in Turin.
For two times she
took part and won the Special Award of the Artemisia Biennale Award.
She is a finalist in prestigious awards including the Felice Casorati Biennial Painting Award, the Morlotti Award, the London Creative Awards, the Carlo Dalla Zorza Award, the Limen International Prize, the Tricolor Prize RezArte and the Combat Prize Prize. Published in the catalog of 2004, 2007, 2008 at the Celeste Prize.
Some of his works are part of public and private collections including the Miroglio Collection, the Permanent Collection of the Pinacoteca of Gaeta, the Permanent Collection La Fenice Gallery in Venice, the Permanent Collection of the Cassa di Risparmio of Cuneo, the Collection BoCS Art Museum, the permanent Collection of the Museum Brasileiro of sculpture, Saint Paul Brazil and Collection Le Gatte Jeans, Florence.
